White Chalk

Chalk shatters,
On the marble floor,
With a beautiful noise,
Like a bell,
Struck,
And muffled,
A chirp-like chime,
Silenced as it’s struck,
Shattered on the tile,
Shards and dust,
With a sound like glass,
Small,
And sharp,
The stick of chalk lies,
Broken.
